Death, Love, & Birthdays is an upcoming film (the first ever feature) from award-winning student crew Picture’s Up Productions. The film is a coming-of-age dramedy tackling the many challenges of approaching adulthood in the modern age.

Produced on a shoestring budget, the film follows three young adults in different stages of life as they come to terms with maturity, the nature of relationships, and the reality of growing up.

Director’s Statement

Death, Love, & Birthdays is the biggest, most personal, and most challenging project I’ve ever taken on. Many of my vulnerabilities are on display, as the film aims to confront many of youth’s greatest challenges. Artistically, technically, and emotionally, it’s the culmination of everything I’ve learned since I first started making movies.

I’m very lucky to have been continually surrounded by kind and talented people: without the cast, crew, and donors who participated in Death, Love, & Birthdays, the film’s production would not have been possible.

Though principal photography has wrapped, the film is far from finished; months of post-production still lie ahead. Still, I’m beyond excited to finally hit that “EXPORT” button on the final cut of the film so that it can begin its journey in film festivals and beyond.

This is my movie. I can’t wait to make it yours, too.
